Having lived and worked around the world, Wayne is a Texas Chapter member and a resident of Rockport, Texas where he resides with his wife. Their home is filled with museum-quality artifacts from important expeditions from the last two centuries.

Wayne White is the third Station Manager to do two winters at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station and will now be the first in the station’s 64 year history to manage he station for three. He recently posted that he completed 3,000 miles of walking daily in Antarctica no matter what the weather conditions wearing a
Siberian wolf anorak he made in Russia to Ronald Amundsen’s specifications. 

Last year, Wayne treated fellow Texas Explorers to a tour of his artifact collection from historic expeditions and an evening lecture describing life in the south pole winter.
